Welcome to our Passion-Based Projects in Education site.  This website was designed for ETEC 510 Design of Technology: Supported Learning Environments, a graduate course for the Masters of Educational Technology program offered by the University of British Columbia.

Our group has designed this site to help encourage other educators to embrace the use of Passion-Based Projects in their classrooms.

On this site, you will experience a variety of interactive and embedded technologies, such as videos, Twitter feeds, Google HangOuts, and Google Forms to support earning badges through quizzes.  This website was designed to provide you with examples of implementation, with resources for further support, and with the opportunity to construct your own knowledge of Passion-Based Learning.

We would like to encourage you to share your personal experiences along the way by adding personal experiences to the Padlet walls located on the main pages.  These comments are intended to generate discussions amongst educators like yourselves, creating a community of learners.

If you wish to leave comments in the Forum, we request that you leave your whole name so that the instructor of ETEC 510 and our group can identify who you are.  Please fill in all of the appropriate fields after clicking the “Add Comment” button.
You may begin exploring the site by visiting the “What is Passion-Based Learning” section on our website’s menu.

We hope you have a meaningful learning experience, earning your badges along the way. Enjoy!
